Oman Verbraucherpreise

The annual inflation rate in Oman increased to 0.7% in December 2024, up from 0.5% in the previous month. Main upward pressure came from prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages (1.7% vs 1.9% in November), health (3.2% vs 3.2%), clothing and footwear (0.5% vs 0.5%), restaurant and hotels (0.8% vs 0.7%), and recreation and culture (0.6% vs 0.7%). At the same time, transport cost fell much softer (-0.8% vs -2.8%). Simultaneously, prices remained unchanged for tobacco, housing and utilities, and communications. Compared to the prior month, the CPI was flat after falling by 0.1% in November.
