The unemployment rate in Moldova decreased to 3.6 percent in the third quarter of 2020 from 4.1 percent in the respective quarter of the previous year, marking the lowest reading since Q3 2022. Over the same quarter in the previous year, the number of unemployed fell by 6,000 to 33,200. By genders, the unemployment rate for men was 3.2 percent and for women it was 4.1 percent. The youth unemployment rate, measuring jobseekers between 15 and 24 years was 8 percent.
