Exports from the Euro Area decreased by 8.8% year-on-year to €218.7 billion in December 2023, reaching the lowest level since April 2023, due to reduced sales of fuels (-25.4%), crude materials (-11.4%), manufactured goods (-9.0%), and machinery and transport equipment (-7.6%). Exports dropped primarily to Russia, Norway, Switzerland, and Japan. Considering 2023 full year, exports declined by 1.2% to €2,839.8 billion.
