Average hourly earnings for all employees on US private nonfarm payrolls rose by 10 cents, or 0.3% over a month, to $35.93 in February 2025, following a downwardly revised 0.4% increase in January, in line with market forecasts. In February, average hourly earnings of private-sector production and nonsupervisory employees rose by 9 cents, or 0.3%, to $30.89. Over the past 12 months, average hourly earnings have increased by 4%, after a downwardly revised 3.9% rise in the prior month and slightly below market expectations of 4.1%.
