The Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates maintained the base rate of its overnight deposit facility on hold at 5.4% on September 21st after the Federal Reserve hit pause for the second time this year, as the Emirati Dirham is pegged to the dollar. The central bank also has decided to maintain the rate applicable to borrowing short-term liquidity from the CBUAE through all standing credit facilities at 50 bps above the base rate.
