Taiwan Verbraucherpreise

The annual inflation rate in Taiwan eased to 1.58% in February 2025 from 2.66% in the previous month, and below market expectations of 1.83%. This marks the lowest reading since March 2021, as inflation moderated for housing (2.18% vs 2.38% in January), health (1.90% vs 2.31%), and miscellaneous (1.14%). At the same time, prices declined for clothing (-0.58% vs -0.86%), transportation and communication (-0.23% vs 0.53%), and education and entertainment (-1.04% vs 3.47%). In contrast, food inflation edged higher to 3.98% from 3.72% in January. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the CPI grew 0.25%, following a 0.26% rise in the prior period.
