Taiwan Verbraucherpreise

The annual inflation rate in Taiwan edged higher to 2.1% in December 2024 from 2.08% in the previous month. This marked the highest inflation rate since August, as prices accelerated for food (4.05% vs 3.82% in November) and housing (2.38% vs 2.32%). Additionally, costs increased at a faster pace for miscellaneous goods (2.55% vs 2.51%) and health (2.44% vs 2.13%), while deflation eased for transportation and communication (-0.32% vs -0.44%). On the other hand, costs slowed for education & entertainment (0.94% vs 1.26%) while deflation continued for clothing (-0.85% vs -0.09%). On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the consumer prices increased to 0.15% in December, the most in three months, and up from 0.08% in November 2024.
