South Korea’s Composite Consumer Sentiment Index (CCSI) edged up to 93.8 in April 2025 from 93.4 the previous month, reflecting a slight improvement in overall consumer confidence. Sentiment regarding living standards and their future outlook remained steady at 87 and 92, respectively. Expectations for future household income held firm at 96, while sentiment around future household spending rose by one point to 105. Views on current domestic economic conditions declined by three points to 52, but expectations for future economic conditions improved by the same margin to 73. The expected inflation rate for the year ahead stood at 2.8%.
