The annual inflation rate in Poland stood at 4.9% in March 2025, unchanged for the third straight month and matching preliminary estimates. Main upward pressures came from food and non-alcoholic beverages (6.7% vs 6.2% in February), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (5.8% vs 5.1%), housing and utilities (10.9% vs 10.7%), and communication (2.6% vs 2.1%). On the other hand, prices decreased for transport (-3.6% vs -2.5%), while inflation slowed for recreation and culture (3.9% vs 5%) and restaurants and hotels (6.1% vs 6.4%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.2% in March, following a 0.3% increase in the preceding period.
