Paraguay's trade deficit widened to USD 634.15 million in November 2024, up from USD 289.22 million deficit in the same month last year. Exports fell by 6.5% year-on-year to USD 682,68 million, primarily due to sharp drops in shipments of primary products (-51.8%), agricultural goods (-23.1%), and energy and fuel (-37.7%). Meanwhile, imports rose by 6.2% to USD 1,316.83 million, driven by increased purchases of capital goods (4.5%) and consumer goods (5%), while intermediate goods imports decreased by 3.2%.
