Paraguay's trade deficit widened to USD 281.6 million in February 2025, up from USD 160.6 million deficit in the same month last year. Exports fell by 6.4% year-on-year to USD 944.1 million, primarily due to sharp drops in shipments of primary goods (-30.7%), and energy and fuel (-1.7%), while manufactured products increased (4.3%). Meanwhile, imports rose by 2.5% to USD 1,225 million, driven by increased purchases of consumer goods (4.5%), while intermediate goods imports decreased (-7%).
