Irland Verbraucherpreise

The annual inflation rate in Ireland rose to 2% in March 2025 from 1.8% in February, the highest since July. Excluding energy and unprocessed food, the CPI grew by 2.2%. The divisions with the largest increases were alcoholic beverages & tobacco (+4.2%), due to higher prices for tobacco products and alcoholic drinks sold in supermarkets and off-licences, and food & non-alcoholic beverages (+3.3%). Also, cost advanced for restaurants & hotels (+3.2%) and health (+2.6%). On the other hand, prices fell for clothing & footwear (-1.9%) and furnishings, household equipment & routine household maintenance (-0.8%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices went up 0.7%, driven by transport (+1.9%) and restaurants & hotels (+1.2%).
