Ungarn Arbeitslosenquote

The unemployment rate in Hungary rose to 4.3% in June-August 2024, from 4.1% in the same period last year and in line with market expectations. The number of unemployed people increased by 12 thousand year-on-year to 211 thousand. Of this total, 112 thousand were men, with their unemployment rate rising to 4.3%, while 100 thousand were women and their unemployment rate was 4.2%. Meanwhile, employment grew by 31 thousand to 4.752 million. The average time spent looking for a job was 9.8 months, with 40% of all unemployed people had been looking for a job for less than 3 months and 36% for at least a year.
