France’s annual inflation rate stood at 0.9% in November 2025, unchanged from October and in line with the preliminary estimate. There was a slowdown in service prices (+2.2% after +2.4%), notably in accommodation services (0.8%), in various services related to private vehicles (2.2%), and in vehicle maintenance and repair (2.4%). Manufactured goods prices posted a slightly sharper decline (-0.6%), driven mainly by lower prices for large household appliances (-3.3%) and for games, toys and hobbies (-1%). In contrast, energy prices fell at a slower pace (-4.6%) and food inflation ticked up slightly (1.4%), with notable increases in meat (2.5%), sugar, jam, honey, chocolate (5.3%), non-alcoholic beverages (9.5%), and milk, cheese and eggs (0.8%). Tobacco prices continued to rise at 4.1%. On a monthly basis, the CPI fell by 0.2%, slightly more than the initial estimate of a 0.1% decline. The EU-harmonised CPI rose 0.8% year-on-year and decreased 0.2% from the previous month.
