Eurozone Industrieproduktion (Monatlich)

Eurozone industrial production fell by 1.1% month-over-month in December 2024, reversing an upwardly revised 0.4% growth in November and compared with market expectations of a 0.6% decline. The downturn was driven by reduced output in capital goods (-2.6%), intermediate goods (-1.9%), and durable consumer goods (-0.7%), while production increased for non-durable consumer goods (5.1%) and energy (0.5%). Among the bloc’s largest economies, industrial activity contracted in Germany (-2.9%), Italy (-3.1%), the Netherlands (-1.0%), and France (-0.4%), whereas Spain recorded a 1.4% increase. On a yearly basis, output fell by 2.0% in December, following a revised 1.8% contraction in the previous month.
