Costa Rica Verbraucherpreise

The annual inflation rate in Costa Rica rose by 1.21% in March 2025, following a 1.24% increase in the previous month, marking the sixth increase in the last twenty-one months. Prices accelerated primarily for education (3.27 vs. 3.18% in February), restaurants and hotels (2.21% vs. 2.02%), and housing and utilities (2.0% vs. 1.02%), while the pace of decline slowed for transport (-1.1% vs. -3.11%). Conversely, prices slowed for food and beverages (5.21% vs. 6.76%), health (1.27% vs. 1.45%), while the pace of decline accelerated for communications (-3.67% vs. -3.59%). On a monthly basis however, consumer prices fell by 0.32%, following a marginal 0.01% decrease in the prior month.
